Mork Borg is an apocalyptic fantasy RPG, which encourages players to create homebrew versions and their own original content. I created my own character, a Cailleach called Marshmask, and designed some packaging to contain her miniature.
From a swamp in Galgenbeck. Grew up alone in a stone hut, scraping by through sheer force of will and occasional tributes of food left by terrified villagers who wanted to appease the Cailleach.
She dresses in grey rags and has hair and skin to match. When she is out in the mountains she is impossible to spot.
Reckless and quarrelsome. Hand frozen in fist. Double-crosser. Is in prison for murdering a man who attacked her crows.
I used a mixture of digital and analogue techniques – charcoal and pencil, scanned in and edited in photoshop, along with some grungy brushes and textures to reflect the dark, apocalyptic feeling of the game.
I imagined the miniature as being quite plain, ready to customise in line with the owner’s character, so I chose to use a drawing instead of an image on the box. The minimalism allows buyers to project their own ideas onto the figure.
Please note: I am not affiliated in any way with Mork Borg, and this is not an official product
