Anti-Mapping
How do we reimagine a new framework to encourage marginalised groups to explore/enjoy the outdoors?
An anti-navigational tool, which encourages the user to explore unknown areas rather than setting prescribed routes.
As a Dyspraxic I have no sense of direction, so I navigate using landmarks, and often wander around looking for things that interest me. This project was an attempt at recreating that for others, and to make walks less prescriptive and more creative.
Each card is a monotype in black and white, which was deliberately left ‘messy’ to allow users to interpret them in a number of different ways.
